Welcome to the SEC Zambia Portal

The Securities and Exchange Commission is the Regulator of the Capital Markets in Zambia.  The SEC was established through an Act of Parliament, the Securities Act of 1993 and falls under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Finance and National Planning. The SEC is responsible for the supervision and development of the Zambian Capital Markets, as well as licensing, registration and authorization for financial intermediaries, issuers of debt and equity instruments and collective investment schemes.

We aim to promote and maintain a strong and facilitation regulatory framework that ensures the orderly development of an innovative and competitive capital market for the secure, fair, efficient and transparent issuance and trading of securities.
